Was out Friday and had 4 to 7 inches, whole lake locked up. It should be much better after the last cold nights. Fishing was sooo slow!

I was there friday night too, lots of wind flags and perch. My buddy caught one eye, otherwise slow is an upgrade from what it was

Wind flags were a killer. I love seeing the lights but that was cruel!

Are there any areas to look out for other than the obvious inlet/outlet for thin areas.  The wife and I will probably make a trip Friday and or Saturday to there but I am unfamiliar with Mashapaug, only fished it once from kayak.

Yes Bug, it was great to chat with you, I did ok. 1 eye, 1 yellow. But I did find a nice school of calico on the jig, got around 20 with some real slobs in there

Has anyone been outside the boat launch cove towards the middle of the lake?  And has anyone ever caught smallmouth in there?  Looking at navionics (if it's right), there is some good looking depths and structure around those islands out in the middle.

What's a navionic? A phone app?

I will post when I get there, waiting for my wife to wake up. We still might be there into tonight if she can hang. I’ve never ice fished there so I am hopeful we get something, anything...

I have the navatronics, and have an idea of where to set up. But it is dependent on ice thickness of where we are going to set up too.

Ice is good. 7-8” to the point from the boat ramp. Didn’t go further but others are out  further
