Ice music
« on: Feb 03, 2018, 11:24 AM »
Yesterday i was fishing a lake with 3-4 inches if ice. Every couple minutes we would hear loud pops, and quiet pings. Wish i had a recorder under water. Sounded so cool. Who needs music when you have that.

;D I go out to a local pond several mornings  a week. I'll walk around the pond out on the ice and listen to the ice. Absolutely amazing!

I grew up in between two  fairly large lake and remember on real cold still nights you could hear the ice in both lakes shifting and cracking from thr yard and one lake was 5 km away. Was always excited when i first heard it cuz i knew thr lake was on its way to having the first safe ice!
Theres only 3 seasons..open water, hunting and icefishing!

I’ve been ice fishing all my life and it still usually takes the whole day for them not to make me jump. My brain hates it lol.

That really would be something cool to hear. Is it safe to fish with the fluctuation of water levels?
