Title: Has anyone been trout fishing lately?
Post by: vt-jig on Feb 02, 2024, 10:36 AM
My dad and I are finally gonna get out for a day trip this weekend,  it will be our first serious outing of the season.     How has the ice been on the trout lakes?   Elligo, Caspian, echo, shadow?  Maybe peacham or fairlee?     I'm not worried about how the fishing has been.  I just want to know if I can get away with walking out in the dark, or if it's still a daylight +spud bar affair to navigate.  Thanks in advance guys.

I am in the upper valley and most local lakes are now fishable with appropriate caution. I have not been up north to the big trout lakes. Good luck this weekend! I am likewise hoping to make it up to Caspian soon.
