hit spirit on thursday (3/23).  Bite was off and on.  Managed 7 kokes in 4 hours. fish are small.  10+ inches of ice.  Edge is starting to erode-I'd bring a board if you go later in the day.

Haven't been to the north end last few days. But I opened the windows the other day and saw open water about mid lake and on the south end.

Was down around CDA lake around the first (11/1/23) and was so excited to see a few feet of ice spreading from the shore. I know it's probably gone now but it made me start checking gear.  ;D

Drove by Granite and Kelso today. Both were capped but looked to sketchy for me to wander out. There was a fellow out on Granite near the shore but didn't stop. My pickup showed 33 degrees there at 12:30 pm.

Checked Chase Lake yesterday.  1-2” of solid ice….but there were some cracks in the ice sheet with water coming up.  Gonna be a while yet.

On the positive side…I recently tried sharpening my auger blades again (When I do that I usually end up “unsharpening” the blades) and the auger cut through the thin ice like butter.  I think I might have figured it out this time

3+ inches on Freeman.  We didn't fish it but people have been out on it.  I would fish it but I would bring a spud bar

Chase had 2 1/2” yesterday.  Only added one inch in the last week.  Lots of spring holes showing.  I haven’t been to Blue to check, but I’d bet it’s not much better

Round Lake was about 60% froze over yesterday. If the cold snap actually happens next week we might be ice fishing in the near future. The ice on Round was an inch or less but its a start.

I was up at Freeman on Friday. You could see where some brave soul had cut test holes out about 1/3 of the way. I'd say there was 3" with another 1" of slush at that point. 32 degrees and overcast. I wouldn't hesitate fishing it this week, as I'm sure it would be fine.

How was the access at Blue with ice?  Sketchy or pretty solid?  Even with the coming snow….the temps this weekend should add a bunch of ice there

The other day I guess there was about an inch on gamlin. Wife is heading out today to do the rounds.

Edit: Sounds like gamlins got 4" of white ice

Anyone been by Cocolalla lately? Thinking about hitting it this weekend but it’s a bit of a drive.

I live right nearby to it and it was still open yesterday morning. I'm going to check it once there's a little bit of day light here soon.

Edit: cocolalla is capped now. Off the dock is some crappy 3" white ice but about 25 feet from the dock turns into REALLY nice ice of about 2" or so. Should be fishable tomorrow id guess with some caution. Didn't really adventure past that point.

Edit: 3 white 3 black on gamlin. Nice and slow fishing. Beers frozen.

Dawson has 4 inches of clear black ice with a water layer and 5 inches of white ice on top of it. Perch bite was very slow. I think the fish might have been cold.

Was at hauser, avondale and fernan today. Hauser had like 5-6 inches when i checked and solid, same with avondale, Fernan was more sketchy 3-4 inches. There was a bunch of people on fernan also but spreading out from each other lol Planning on doing a whole day at hauser tomorrow. Anyone had any luck icefishing for catfish there?

I've caught a few, not enough to target just them but I'll set out a rig or two while perch fishing. Try a 3" or so spoon with a nightcrawler just off the bottom.
