Title: "Ice fishing" Wethersfield cove
Post by: Ravo Himself on Feb 19, 2023, 11:35 AM
Had bad luck up at winni for the tournament so me and a buddy were itching to get out and catch some fish. Loaded the jig rods and flashers up into the kayaks and floated around the cove for a bit. Got into a pile of whiteys and found a handful of nice crappie. My buddy started throwing a spoon around the shallows and landed a really nice pike. Definitely a good afternoon of fishing

Nice job getting out brother, still to much ice for me to go Kayak yet. Plenty of time all spring and summer for that!

Nice work. Too bad there’s no ice to catch those

Nice work Ryan.  Ive been enjoying the soft water too.  No crowds.  This time last year we were driving on for crappie.

Yeah definitely a totally different year than last that's for sure. Just don't feel like making the 1hr+ drive up to go fish on ice every weekend. Gonna replace the prop shaft seals on the tracker and start hitting more open water
