Another addition to the auger stable came home today. ;D
Got me a Tanaka TIA-305 with Strikemaster Mora 8" bit for $150.
The powerhead is in fabulous condition and starts first pull.

Something like that or a Nils with a Tanaka head will be my next purchase for ice fishing. I'm sick of junk augers and I refuse to pay a bunch of money for a new one that's no better.
That should be a nice setup!

Nice looking auger, I hope it works well for you. :)

That box is a good idea for the powerhead too Drifter! I bet it would save you from another broken gear box >:(
I was looking at building a similar carrier for the basket on my sled for next year. Might save me from motor hunting ;D
-
Just don't put it in your toboggan.
It may fall out the hole!!!
The milk crate I'm using now is pretty decent too. ;)

Jiffy is sending me a new recoil assembly! After my throttle stuck open and broke the pull cord, they decided to cover it under warranty!

Nice

Looks like you made another excellent catch Drifter, way to go!
