auger mount for quad, or mods in general

I just got a quad last year , and it will be pulling the sled I used to. what are some mods you all have made for your quad? It may come down to none, as I said it may just all go into sled. thanks

I added a double rifle/shotgun mount to the front ..my SM 8" auger sets in just fine .

I also added added a file box in front for bait bucker...to that added a 3 pole rod holder

Get your gear off the ice if possible as dragging it behind you will eventually cause damage.  If you plan on mounting something to hold an auger, I have often read to make sure you support the motor.  The gun mounts don't do that.  By the way.....I'm the one who directed you here at the other site,  using a different user name due to technical problems when I bought this computer a couple of years ago.

I don't use the gun mount per se ...but rest the drill unit between the double gun mount..the motor is supported by the ATV rack ...the  auger sticks out some ..as it is off set on the rack ...one bungee and good to go.

If you look at the pic of mine in the gun mount, you'll see that the head of the auger is resting on the rack. The rack has a thick chunk of rubber hose right there & it's cinched down with a bungee. Does not move at all.

Its really the best way to hold the auger but I can't tell you the number of pictures I've seen where people don't have the motor supported in any manner.

Nice thinking out of the box mbart.  I wonder if the person who invented the noodle ever imagined the uses people get out of them other than what they were designed for.
