yeah well dont hold your breath for a 2018 ice trip in Kansas long term forecast is showing 40-50's thru the 24th still... one time im hoping the weather folks are wrong.

I can’t put much stock into weather forecasts anymore. After watching the massive bust of snow storm prediction in oklahoma last week how can you expect them to be right 20 days in advance.
-
they cant predict the current weather. So i watch for trends, check the forecast each day to see if the highs/lows are moving, and unfortunately they are just in the wrong direction. The last 4-5 days of the window out there is getting lows down to 20's though. Just wish it wouldnt follow a week of 50's

even our long term outlook doesnt look too promising. highs of 40s clear till jan 3

Probably like usual January and February might have some fish able ice. Been running my boat through lots of thin ice lately marking brush and catching fish.
