Good evening everyone

I just got back a bit ago from my tree job. Everything went good and I probably have most of tomorrow before the job is done.

I grabbed the card out of the camera, pretty quiet. mr.clean I think you asked if I was feeding or if they are just picking old stuff. For the most part they are just finding stuff from last year. I threw a cup full of corn down to get them closer to the camera, but that was it for new corn.

Time for supper and hitting the rack early. Hope you all had a good day. I haven't read todays entries yet, will do that before lights out.

Good Morning Everyone,
Sure looks like winter again here this morning, lol. 29* with a fresh 6-7” blanket of snow, low 40’s expected today.

Jeff... imagine the scenery is the same up your way this morning, hope all goes well with your wife’s car repair. Traffic sure has slowed down considerably, except around the grocery stores and anyplace TP can possibly be obtained.    ;D
Wally...hope all went well with the Dr. appointment if it was a go!
Capt.J...welcome back Sir...have been wondering how you’ve been doing. Sorry to read about the Dr. problems, cripes, hopefully they’ll get you in soon....hang in there!
Bud...best of luck with those Walters today and better conditions!
Marv...sounds like you had a good day with your buddy and the saws...hope the muscles are feeling ok this morning! Have a safe day wrapping up the job today....thanks again for the videos!
Dave...fingers crossed there won’t be too many more cases up your way...the cabin sounds like the right place to be!
Spitzo...wishing you well, hopefully you will see some relief soon, man oh man! Mya is a beauty ...
OG...hope all is well in your neck of the woods!
UFC...will be looking forward to your gardening reports this season!
H2...imagine the river will be rising rapidly soon. Only see a few cars on my drive into work, traffic has been pretty relaxed.

Another 4am start this morning....4wd will be a plus, never fired up the snowblower yesterday!  ;D
Jack hammering begins in an hour...hopefully we have enough dust masks left to get through the day!  Cawfee’s on...
Have a great day all, be safe, best of luck to those fishing!

Good morning Spitzo, Eddie! Good morning everyone

37 with a light mist this morning, it's going to be cloudy and dank most of the day.

Spitzo, Mya is beautiful  Glad to see social distancing in place ;D

Eddie glad you are able to continue working  Hope I didn't just jinx you. Unfortunately I feel like I did WWE try outs yesterday. That's what I get keeping up with a 20 year old ;D

Capt thanks for the update, I hope you can get everything taken care of soon, take care

I have a couple hours before heading back to work on my tree job. I wouldn't doubt an extra, extra add on, which would be just fine. Yesterday the WI governor made a "Shelter in place" order. Ours is a little different for now, but like WI, only essential employees are still working.

Glad you all like the videos. It usually takes a couple of days to find a couple worth sharing, lots of birds, squirrels, rabbits, and an occasional cat. If it gets too tough to find something, I may have to do like the sports channels and start pulling out some old videos :roflmao:

Keep your chins up  Stay safe.

Good morning Eddie, ER's,
It's 27* and cloudy with 12" of snow on the ground.
Eddie......Have fun in the hammer room, I bet It's pretty desolute around the capital, lime a ghost town.
Marv.......I hope you are not to sore after wailing a saw all day, good luck k with the clean up.
Dave......It's a scary thing to know that there is a case of Covid 19 in town and not knowing if you came in contact with them. The cabin would be a safe place to be for a month or two.
Wally......Hopefully you got in to the Dr. My wife got a call yesterday that her appointment was canceled for April 6th.
Bud.......Good luck on the water today.
Capt. Jim .....Best to you on your medical problems.
H2L......I bet the lake is back up to its summer level.
Still usi g my phone what a pain  in the butt. I'm going to call the place today to see if they are still open and what's going on with me computer.
I was going to go to the grocery store this morning when it opened for seniors, but with the snow of a foot and I bet there is a big scrapper bank in front of my driveway, so snow removal this morning and I'll make the early morning trip tomorrow.
I hope everyone has a safe day at work of you are still working or out.

Morning all,

WS......hope those sore muscles loosen up as the day goes by  :pinch:  I won't say a word about that age thing   :roflmao:

IW.....fingers crossed you an get ahold of someone at the computer place  :-\   easy does it on the snow removal

CapJ.....so sorry you're having to wait to see your doc  ::)   seems non-virus issues should still be taken care of  :-\

Eddie....think Mother Nature will take of the snow removal in the next few days  ;D  hope your drive to work wasn't too slick  ;)

IFF.....hope you have better weather today for fishing, good luck   don't forget the pics  ;)2

Spitz.....beautiful pup    hope the meds have you feeling better soon  ;)

My appointment was a go yesterday. Got to the office to find a "tunnel" at the entrance with medical staff decked out in full ppe taking temps and asking questions of everyone entering the building. Also an armed security guard with face mask and gloves standing by the door. Made it inside.....never seen the place so empty before  :o  checked in and had a seat in the waiting area, end tables completely bare all magazines gone. Called into inner waiting room, sat down and noticed I was sitting next to a table with a plastic plant on it covered with about an inch of dust, so much for thorough cleaning/sanitizing of ALL surfaces  :pinch:
Made a stop at the grocery store on the way home, still pretty desolate sight with LOTS of empty shelves  :(  The drive home was nasty as the temp had dropped to just below freezing and flash froze the wet roads along with a quick dumping of wet snow on top. Sure glad I had MrWW take my snow tires off my car the other day   Ended with about 7" of heavy wet snow total  :%$#!: :cookoo:  so much for spring  :'(

Have a good day. Be safe, stay healthy.

29* and about 8 inches of snow. I blew out the driveway last night so my daughter could get to DD's at 6 this morning. It is heading for mid 40's today.

SpitozMT, Mya is a great looking dog. Not going to be the best time to try to see a doctor for any of us.

Capt. Jim, good to hear from you. Hope you get in to see the Dr. soon.

IW, the lake is above normal for this time of year, but it was high most of the winter. It still has to come up 8 feet by early May to be close to full. There is a lot of water in this last snow storm.

Yesterday morning the wife lost the special pen she uses for her I-Pad. We looked every place. I even went though a bag of garbage. We took everything off the bed, we could not find it. She was going to order another one but I told her to wait until today, "the girl will find it."

(Now, what I am going to tell you are facts and not fiction. About 22 years ago, while the camp was being remodeled we went to Albany to a food show for the day. While we were gone there was an accident right in front of our house. A woman died. A week or two later her family wanted to come and have a service and leave some flowers which we agreed to. They told us about her and how good she was and that her spirit would always be with us.)

WELL, "the girl" found the pen. When the wife got out of bed this morning it laid right on the floor next to her slippers. This is not the first time she has found things. One fall, two or three years ago, we couldn't find the remote for the gas insert. The next morning it was right on the door of the fridge, at eye level, I saw it right away when I came into the kitchen.

Have a good day....h2l

WW, glad you got into the Doctors. I went to local Tops and found the only things they were out of, were the things that had signs on that read "Limit of 2 per customer".

Morning ER's! H2L, that is a wonderful story!! We are on our first day of a statewide shelter in place order. The wife can go out because of her treatments, and people can go out for essentials. My wife said that was a lot less traffic this morning. She is now showing signs of her treatment. Be glad when it's over!!! I hope everyone has as good a day as possible under the conditions!! Stay well!!!!! :flex:

Good day everyone received an inch or less of snow from yesterday's storm already melting. Just a heads up if your grocery store/supermarket has a website check it every few days for updates on store hours and operations. I know the Hannaford chain has stopped it's shop from home/order and pick up service so those employees can help stock store shelves and clean at certain times of the day. Price Chopper/Market32 has a list of high demand items on their website and the quantity they are allowing customers to purchase of each item.
Eddie I can send you a Pm with link to a news story about what one nursing home in NYC received on how to make masks from an item found in grocery store. Personally do not think it would work well in your environment . Good to read your mom and other facility residents are well and no new confirmed virus cases.
Ice Wander have a feeling the computer repair place has shut down or is having a problem getting parts either way a phone call to you would be a nice gesture. May all go well with the wife's car repair.
Hunts2long interesting story glad your wife found the special pen for the I-pad. Good she and Scout and taking rides for a change of scenery. Think we will see an increase in the number of people fishing especially if the state allows it with a license for a certain period of time. Your nephew had a fairly good yield of sap and now syrup to bad world events have forced him to stop for this year.
Wallyworld good your medical appointment was still a go surprised with all that is going on the fake plant was not tossed or put in storage as you saw they become major dust collectors. Happy to read Mr.WW still has the plow connected to the tractor hopefully this is the last snow storm for the year. i've had good luck so far getting certain items at my local Dollar General smaller size store and usually less crowded.
UfCreel may your garden provide a good yield this season. Get your seeds purchased or order in more people doing gardens this year with the virus. May the infected prisoner's health improve with treatment and isolation. Hope your wife does not contract the virus.
Whopper Stopper may you not feel to bad after today's tree work. Has your wife found a solution to her monitor problem. Yuor yard or part of it should be bug frree from the turkeys.
Drifter may you not have had any contact with the person now confirmed to have the corona virus. Hope you can work from home or the cabin soon to limit chances of exposure.
Old Goat similar wishes and greeting sent your way may you and and your family be in good health. I assume your daughter is now home doing her college studies on-line.
SpitzoMT glad you are able to see your doctor may the RPI get cured fast with proper treatment. Thank you for the photo's of Mya. Looked through the "Off Season MT." thread and she she is an English Golden retriever her coat/fur color is similar to a great Pyrenese (spelling?) .
Capt.Jim sorry to hear you have yet to see the urologist maybe contact your primary doctor and politely express your feelings maybe he/she can put some pressure on the urologist. I realize their is a virus pandemic  but should treatment for other medical problems stop until the virus is contained.
OldSailor if you have a good sized piece of property try and get out at least once a day and walk around it or do some other activity. glad your wife is still receiving her treatments. Sorry to read she is now having side effects from it.

I received a phone call from a friend on Sunday to see how I'm doing  nice gesture. He is fine just having trouble keeping his 90/91 year old mothe calm thinks she will get the virus and die. It does not help that she is home alone for part of the day as my friends employer is still open for business and keeps the radio on most of the day.
Think we all can use a distraction from the 'Virus" I've been following this You Tube channel for six months or more "My Self Reliance" this gentlemen started building a log cabin three years ago in woods of Northern Ontario,Canada. All the work was done with hand tools except possibly some lumber milling for which he used a chainsaw mill. He tries to post a new video every Friday this February his wife joined him at the cabin before that it was just him and their golden retriever.
Stay healthy and find ways to keep your mind off of all that is happening . The U.S.,Canada and the world will get through this the big question what will life be like once the virus is under control.

Now to see what I had typed before our governess came on the TV announcing that we were going into lock down at mid night last night. I was surprised that a local cop did not follow me at supper time last night to see what I was up to. I was going to pick up a walker from the senior center that had a serious knee problem.

UFC. Asparagus needs to be planted a foot deep and a foot apart. I hope you have enough room for all of those crowns. As the crown afs it gets bigger and bigger over the years. I helped plant asparagus years ago. There is where my knowledge come from. My home pace is where most of Michigan's asparagus comes from.

Capt Jim I have a urologists' appointment April 1. hopefully it does not get canceled. This whole corny deal is sure screwing up things.

Marv Luckily we do not have that many ticks where I hunt. I did have to drive an hour when I was turkey hunting I VA with a wood tick stuck in my elbow. My nephew had no problem getting it out. One night at my home place I was woke up by a tick crawling on my head. I tried to kill it but lost it in the bedding. A short time later it was back in my hair. That time I put it in a medicine bottle to deal with later. It was a deer tick. The only one I have ever seen.

When I was raising Shelties I used to give them some brewers yeast with there food to keep fleas off of them. It seemed to work. I wonder if it would work for ticks. Might work on humans!

ww I guess your hubby did not see my post about not doing any thing serious with winter stuff until April 3. I have thought about putting away the snow blower a couple of times but remembered it was not April 3rd yet. I have the fished the opening of trout fishing a few times, the last Saturday in April, with snow coming down.

I have to get going as I have to meet a friend that is a State Fire Marshal to tell us what we may have to do to make the senior center building meet code.

Dang nice day out today, we boated 12 eyes only one was a short one, biggest a 25" weight of 6.5 and a 16" crappie.  Released them all.

Pretty sure the eyes have already spawned, the short one was a male, and still milting.  Friend posted some pictures on FB.

Mrs called saying her hair cut appointment was cancelled for tomorrow, and all shops were ordered to close.  Where I was working in Golden at Camping World is also now closed until ????

Good afternoon everyone !!
Was 21* when I awoke this morning with 2" of fresh snow.....I went back to bed !!
33* right now with light snow falling.....
Well, I actually got some decent sleep lastnight.....I must say that I actually feel a little bit better after changing up the treatment & getting some real rest. Cutting the Prednisone dose by 50% definitely helped with that.....Can feel the Azithromycin kicking in too.....All the gunk in my sinuses is loosening up & draining a bit.....Chest feels less tight & breathing not as labored.....Talked to the Doc earlier about the chest x-rays & was informed that our hospital has gone into a basic emergency mode where only healthcare deemed necessary will be done.....Fine with me as long as I'm feeling some improvement.....Things are looking up !!

TT - Sounds like an important meeting with the Fire Marshall concerning the senior center.....Hope that goes well !!

Steve - Yes, English Golden Retriever is what Mya's papers say.....My buddy bought one from a different breeder & his papers say English Cream Golden Retriever.....Same dog breed, but I've heard that some breeders just add the "Cream" to charge more money.....Go figure.....Our breeder told us the English Goldens started being bred in Europe white in color to differentiate them from the American Goldens.....We actually have papers with Mya's lineage traced back to the late 1800's in Hungary/Russia where many of her relatives were highly regarded show dogs.....Pretty cool to see & quite interesting !!

OS - Hope you're 1st day of the "shelter in place" order is without to much hassle & you're coping with it.....Stay safe/healthy !!

H2L - Great story that I can relate to.....We had a couple strange things happen in our house after the FIL passed away in 2000.....Never believed in that stuff until then !!

WW - Glad to hear you got your appointment out of the way.....Your description of it reminds me of that movie with Dustin Hoffman/Morgan Freeman called "Outbreak".....

I W - I feel your pain with the computer.....Laptop crashed about 9 months ago & couldn't be repaired.....Had to buy a new one, but since then I've found myself using my phone & iPad more than usual !!

W S - Hope the tree job went well & you're dealing with the "shelter in place" order as best you can !!

MasonEddie - Feeling some relief here & Mya thanks you for the compliment !!

Enjoy the rest of your day & I'll check in later !!

Good evening majority of what snowfall I received yesterday has now melted away.
IFF congratulations on a good fishing trip. Guessing you are now on a hopefully paid leave from work.
Drifter try and stay calm with your coworkers many may have been able to have others answer and send out Emails now having to do it themselves they are lost. I only learned how to Email while going through the probate of my mother's estate and did a little Text messaging with the realtor when selling  the house I shared with my mom.
OldSailor glad you can get out for walks around your neighborhood.

Good Morning Everyone,
  Happy Hump Day!  ;D
Calm 29* this am, high of 41.

Was happy to read an article minutes ago that the Senate reached an agreement on the stimulus plan...

Lacking time to catch up with everyone this morning, back to hammering out floors again this morning...will post this afternoon.

H2... thanks for sharing the wonderful story!

We had a NYS Trooper approach our work area yesterday and he stood there watching us do our thing without saying a word for a few minutes...just smiling and watching.
I had to go near him to retrieve a tool, and when I did, he handed me some money and a menu from a pizza place located at the workplace.
He was brief in his words, but he told me to let all the guys know how appreciative he was seeing us all working and doing a terrific job through this difficult time....” lunch is on me “ he said.
I thanked him for his generosity and service...and apologized for not being able to shake his hand. That was a big moral booster yesterday...Cawfee’s on gang!

Have a great day all, be safe, best of luck to those fishing!

Good morning Eddie, ER's,
It's 28* and foggy here on my hill.
Eddie........That was a nice thing the Trooper did for you guys. I hope you all got a slice.
Wally........I guess that's going to be the norm for a while, caution  is better than getting  the Covid 19.
Steve.......I'm headed to PC this morning for the 6 am opening,  hoping to stock up on some idems. I got a call last evening that my computer is ready for pick up.
Dave........Some people are in too much of a hurry to read everything, it's just the world we live in.
Marv........Thanks for the videos it's always nice to watch them.
OS.............I hope the best for your wife during her treatments, it not an easy thing for woman to go through. My wife only had 21 treatments and the burns she received was very painful and not a nice thing to see. The best thing for them is aloe gel.
H2L........What a great story, the girl must be happy at your house to help you like that.
Bud........Congratulat ions on the great trip out, here Walleye season is closed.
Yesterday I went out after breakfast to clear the snow, I pushed my snow blower out of my basement, fired it up and started to blow snow. I went about 10 feet and my blower wouldn't move any more. I brought it back in and checked it out, looks like I need to replace  the belts. I heard my neighbor blowing his place so I asked if I could borrow it to do mine. I got it cleared out then took it back to him. I invited him and his wife for dinner tonight.
I hope everyone has a good Wednesday, Hump Day either at work if you can or out. Again stay safe out there.

Morning all,

WS.....hope you're moving ok this morning  :flex:  cute bunnies  ;D

IW....good luck finding what you need at the store  ;)  glad to hear the laptop is finally good to go

Eddie.....kudos to the Trooper  :callcops:   it's always nice to feel appreciated

OS.....give MrsOS a gentle hug for all of us  :)  how many more treatments does she have  ???

IFF.....congrats on the fishing  :flex:  how is MrsIFF feeling, hope she shook whatever bug she had  ???

MrC.....happily most of our snow has melted too, should be green grass again in a couple days

H2L.....never hurts to have a little help from beyond    thanks for sharing the story  ;)

Spitz......glad the change of treatments is working for you   you're right about "Outbreak" that's exactly what it looked like  :o  a bit unnerving to say the least  :-\

I forgot to mention just as I was heading into the "tunnel" for my appointment, they were bringing a gentleman out of the "tunnel" on a stretcher with oxygen on loading him into an ambulance, not exactly what you what to see up close and personal these days
Also I found a new sign at the grocery store (besides the limit of 2 signs by the empty shelves ::))  They no longer will take money/coupons from your hand, it must be placed on the belt or little shelf by the card reader. Your receipt/change will also be placed on the belt/shelf not handed directly back. Definitely a strange new world

Have a good day. Be safe, stay healthy.

27* and fog. About half the 7 inches of snow is gone.
WS, thanks for the rabbit video, don't see many around here.
SpitozMt, showed the wife Mya's pictures. She felt in love with her. Our last dog was a Golden.
IFF, what a great day on the water. I usually find early season to be tough fishing on Sacandaga.
Eddie, Troopers are a good group as are most that serve us.
IW, good luck at PC. I bet you will be happy to get your computer back.
WW, I usually wear a rubber glove to pull open doors or my elbow to push them. I also carry Lysol wipes with me to wipe anything down. Most of the things everyone should be doing now are things we have been doing for 4/5 years.

Wife got an e-mail this morning, local bar (Timeless Tavern) will be dropping off soup this afternoon.

Have a good day...h2l

Good Morning all. Not much new around here. Our Governor said yesterday we have not seen anything yet. Expect for the worse in 2 to 3 weeks.  :-\. Mason Nice of that Trooper. Mr C i now have three raised bed and i have 16 20 gallon food grade plastic barrels that i grow out of. I am only planting a few tomato this season as i have jars and jars of Tomato canned from the last several years. No green Bean ether this year for the same reason. Will be doing plenty of Broccoli. cabbage, Jalapeno and green peppers, Plus radish, carrots, cucumbers. Have all my seeds and the broccoli , cabbage and pepper are about six inches tall already. Will start the tomato is a week or two. Tom Yes you are right on the money for the planting of Asparagus. I remember as kid planting it with my parents. 60' x 4'row of it. Anyhow all my best to everyone.

Polished off some more turkey, will pick up the ground feeders bird seed in an hour.  Pretty slow at the store, except for Guns/Ammo department.

Hear the Colorado is joining in the Stay Home, States,  except for emergency, food, Dog food, ammo. Kicking in at 6:00 AM.  So guess the store will remain open.  Only 50 shoppers allowed in the store at the same time.  Now have blue tape on the floor every 6 feet at the registers ::)

Mrs says she is feeling a little better, but still has the lingering cough. Infection still not showing its ready to leave.   :nono: :nono:

Should I call out and go soak it in the lake water  ??? ??? ??? bought gas for $1.64 this morning.

More roller coaster weather coming according to the guessers, Snow Friday.  See my hours posted for next two weeks with 4 days off.   :-\

Good Morning Everyone,
Clear and calm 28* this am, high of 56 forecasted.

Bud...hope your wife continues to see improvement each passing day.
OS...give that lady an extra long hug from us all today!
UFC...pretty similar gardens, 4 raised beds and many containers...have quite a few varieties of garlic planted this year. Some were just popping up before this last snow.
H2...couldn’t agree more on the Troopers and most law enforcement....how was the soup?
Wally...you’d think with everything going on that a Dr.’s office/area would be squeaky clean.  :cookoo:  Best of luck if you and Mr.WW are Ontario bound today.
Jeff...sorry to read about the snowblower crapping out...glad the neighbor helped out!
Marv...thanks for the videos, hope you’re feeling a little better today. Trying to keep up with the 20 year olds can be painful mister... ;D
Steve...only about 3” of snow left on the ground here....most of that should be gone today.

Another 4am start today. The workplace is very strange devoid of people, less and less everyday. My best wishes to everyone struggling through this pandemic...Cawfee’s on gang!
Have a great day all, be safe, best of luck to those fishing!

                    Good morning Eddie, ER's,
It's 30* and clear here on my hill, warming up to the 50's today ::)
Eddie........It must feel strange not to have all the people down at the capital.
OS............My wife had some serious looking burns but no open sores. I hope your wife gets through this without further complications.
Bud...........I'm glad to read that your wife is making improvements.
Marv......... I hope your body is back to normal this morning. :flex:
Wally.........Enjoy the day on the boat, Hey why don't ypu name it "The Boat" lol :roflmao:
Well I finally got my computer back and it is working just fine, the guy was trying to explain all that he did in all that computer jargon. I just
nodded like I knew what he was saying, it seem extensive but when he gave me the bill I was surprised it was only $107.
Yesterday I made the store run at 6 am and didn't find anymore on the shelves than if I went later in the day, the only thing different
was that it was only people over 65 years old.
Not much going on today, I guess puttering will be on the agenda.
I hope everyone has a good Thursday either at home or out. Stay safe and healthy.

Good morning Eddie, WW, IW! Good morning everyone

Cloudy and cooler than yesterday. Currently 30 heading to 48 later.

We are now going to be on a  "Stay at home order" starting Friday. I don't see where we will notice much difference. The wife and s-i-l are still taking over both floors. They say they are able to get more done daily now then they were when going into work.

Eddie hope the rest of your week goes smoothly? I will check the card today, I did see some activity at the camera yesterday.

IW have a good day puttering, that's what I will be doing also.

WW best of luck on the lake  Can't wait for your report.

Time to turn the computer over to my wife.

Hope everyone has the best day possible  Stay safe.
