I have a Clam 100 Ice Spooler Reel and really like the reel. The only issue was the line getting behind the spool a few times, I see the they added a line guide to resolve that problem. Also they added a large arbor spool to improve line retrieve, I just added backing. Then Frabill made some improvements to their 101. I'm not familiar with the Frabill 101, any drawback on the original? Improvements with the 101XLA, beneficial? Any comments/recommendations greatly appreciated.
