What kind of trout are there in Lower Stillwater Lake?  Any tips of where on the lake? or how?

Lakers and bows, lakers will take a small glow jig anywhere there are not heavy weeds in 2' to 20 fow. the bows are  out from the platform about 150 yards north of the boat launch, not sure what the flavor of the week is for them. can catch both to 5# but 1 to 3 more typical. Lots more lakers than bows.

Be aware that the ice on Lower Stillwater is "Funky" a week ago it had about 3 inches of white ice with an inch or two of water under it then about 8 inches of white ice and then good clear ice under that for another 6"....

Don't know how it will fair with the coming warm streak the weather man is predicting....

Lots of water and slush on top of the ice on Sunday.  There seems to be about 8-10 inches of clear ice underneath a whole lot of crud.  I think I'll stay off of it until the temperature drops....

I think being more cautious on that body of water is warranted.
