What's your secret o wise one, I've been cooking for days now, I could go for something like that.

Lol. It's just kinda turned out that way over the years. Most of our gatherings are before Christmas so it's just her and I. Quite nice really.

I have a large roaster in the oven for about 4 1/2 hours making a northern Quebec Tourtiere.  Pastry lined roaster filed with 1/3 cubed pork, 1/3 cubed beef and 1/3 cubed Yukon gold potatoes.  Add garlic powder, pepper, salt and a couple of squirts of Maggi.  Add one can of beef consomme and enough water to get it up to 1 inch from the top of the mix, cover with a pastry flap and bake.
If it was a real one, you add about one lb of cubed deer, moose or bunny.

Roast and fixin's turned out great. Had enough for about four people. Lotsa leftovers; no cookin' tomorrow ! Invited my buddy for dinner; but he's on call, and said he's busier than heck today. ( Funeral assistant ) Sad to think he's picking up people that have just passed on Christmas day.   :-\

It's a Croatian bread, rolled out and filled with a walnut/sugar spread, rolled up coiled and baked, was my aunt's specialty at Xmas, I found a similar recipe, so make it now, everyone loves it

It's great, dam, thought you'd have framed them by now, not sure I could eat those as beautiful as they looked, guessing they tasted as good as they looked, lol.

I was thinkin' about it !  I saved the reindeer and elf...;D I don't know how she makes the frosting, but it was so smooth and creamy, but not real soft like butter; and not that "store bought" frosting taste crap. Could taste some amaretto in it; just a hint. She needs to quit her job at Mayo and open her own pastry shop. We lost both of ours in town. She does do wedding cakes on the side.

Wow, she's a pretty talented baker, she'd do fine with her own shop.

She's a licensed oncology pharmacist, and also a rotor wing (helicopter) pilot. Way talented lady. I'm proud to call her my friend.

To fish or not to fish? That's a stupid question!

Chinee sweet 'n sour pork (pink cat)  with fragrant-tree country steamed vegetables. Berry tasty. Smoked ham flied lice with egg.  Fortune cookie that say man who have sex in kitchen get a$$ in jam. Cup of tea to please palate, young grasshopper.

Wouldn't be the 1st time I searched the web for Nigella's... Oh wait, you said something about peas...

That's a thing of beauty and taste... I love Mami. Looks excellent. I have a friend from Viet Nam that owns a restaurant and has Pho Gŕ, basically the Viet version of chicken soup, without the egg and a lot more heat. Great for a head cold !  ;D

Smoking the bacon I brained all week. Going to toss on a rack of ribs for dinner tonight.

Wanted to grab shrimp after work today but people had them bought up. Only old freezer burnt bags left. Was a madhouse at the 3 stores I went to. I gave up and came home.
