Biggest Muskie of the Season
« on: Feb 28, 2021, 05:23 PM »
I fished through the rain today and was rewarded with my heaviest muskie of the year at 45.5” and 29lbs. I caught one a couple of inches longer earlier this winter but this was a few pounds heavier, it was a tank. This fish also helped me reach a benchmark, it was my 30th 40” fish through the ice and 5th of the season. I caught her in about 12’ of water on a live sucker.

Thanks guys. Here are a few fumble pics. I tried to hold her by the gill plate but it was raining and she was so strong she flipped out of my hands. I had to hold her like a carp. It’s tough to take pictures with a self timer!

That’s an awesome fish. How big of a sucker did it try to eat?

Congratulations, its tough enough boating fish that size in open water, must be a challenge getting fish that size thru a small hole in the ice. Well done!
