Want to ice fish

Well I'm from New York n I would love to go fishing in Maryland. So I check the conditions of Deep Creek but there was none on the ice. I would like to try for some gillies n crappie or even perch. Really just eager to go, went  5 times in NY before I moved here that was around christmas. So if any one has any info that  would be great thanx.
