« on: Dec 16, 2009, 03:43 PM »
Hoping to fish Red Feather Lakes early next week.

Any reports on ice thickness and fishing success??

Thanks!

I fished West on last Saturday, the wind was to much to fight on Dowdy. Caught 9 stockers 50' out from the dam. Ice was 4-5". Fished Dowdy the next two days. Caught lots (bigger than West's fish but nothing over 12") from 9:00-noon & the ice is 4-6". Going out today (Sunday) same time same place, going to bring my brother, he hasn't been out this year so I like to start where we can catch fish. Later in the season we'll fish for size rather than numbers. stay warm, afishingfool

;)  Thanks man for the report on Red Feather!
Really appreciate it.  My son is flying in for the holidays and we want to head out tomorrow.
More wind predicted for up there, so I don't know if we'll try it there or someplace else.

Tight lines and fun times,
