Title: Little lake in North Park
Post by: thebig1 on Dec 05, 2009, 08:21 AM
Well we had a rough day up there today, the 4 wheeler wouldn't start (-25) this morning, luckily we left Ebony(my dog) at home, otherwise she would of been miserable. Caught the first fish at 8 a nice 18" bow, then quickly found the camera to be froze and not working, so sorry no pics this trip, then continued catching fish about every 30- 45 min. The battery for my Vex decided it wanted to die about 12:00 so I fished blind the rest of the day, but still did pretty good. The total for the day was 25, all 17 - 22"ers real fat, hungry fish. Never did warm up and about 2:30 the wind picked up so we split.

We fished in 9- 16 FOW using rat finkie's, tear drops, trout magnets, and pimples tipped with waxies and mealies. Brought back 2 fish for friends and all others are still swimming.

 The ice was 10" thick

Still sounds like you had a good day. With 10'' of ice also! South Park should be looking pretty good by the end of this week.
