Do you wash your fillets?  I have always wondered about that.  I'm always weary of the fishy taste without proper washing, so I never do lunch on ice.  I hope i haven't been missing out.

I bring fish from the freezer usually, its is against the law in NY to clean fish on or near water :(

I dont wash them,I just pat them dry with a paper towel,and in the pan they go.Fresh caught pan fish on the ice is a real treat. ;)

i was them off in the water i caught them in one of the holes

my rule of thumb...if you can't rinse off the fish in the water they came out of........why would you want to eat them???.....Grump

Are you catching your fish out of water? Last time I washed a fish thats exactly what I used.
