Do you wash your fillets? I have always wondered about that. I'm always weary of the fishy taste without proper washing, so I never do lunch on ice. I hope i haven't been missing out.

I bring fish from the freezer usually, its is against the law in NY to clean fish on or near water

I dont wash them,I just pat them dry with a paper towel, and in the pan they go.Fresh caught pan fish on the ice is a real treat.

my rule of thumb...if you can't rinse off the fish in the water they came out of........why would you want to eat them???.....Grump
