Cheat lake

Just wondering does anybody fish Cheat lake in WV? If so what’s the ice conditions and how’s the bite thanks.

Water levels can vary drastically on cheat lake outside of the summer pool window where they have to maintain a certain height. When I was getting bait the other day the lady told me a guy stopped in and got bait to fish cheat lake though.

Yeah I would definitely recommend NOT ice fishing on Cheat for the fluctuation issue mentioned above. Might be water under you, but also might be 5 feet of air.

The last time I rode over it was 2 weeks ago.  It was really low.  All open water
