Pretty sure the wife got me the new 4 man fat fish ice hut for Christmas. Can't wait to try it out. Does anyone own one or tried them out?

They look pretty sweet. Being a 4man it might be a little tricky setting it up by yourself, but the room would be nice!

I am interested to find out how well the new "quilted" fabric insulates compared to the normal stuff.

I have the fatfish dual hub. Sets up really fast and easy. I am however disappointed in the threading of this unit. Lots of places with looses thread, the material attached to the area you pull out to erect is coming loose. The windows are very lightweight plastic and some other small concerns. Ive put it up 3 times in practice for the season, and had one fiberglass rod come out which i had to do some work to get back in. I love the setup, size, material is stronger then other brand types, quickness of putting up and taking down. I am thinking about getting a new one because this may be a lemon. If not ill have to make some adjustments like doing some sewing with a heavier thread, maybe applying some sort of silicone or thread glue to some areas to back it up for harsh conditions, not like the ones in my garage. ;D  I did construct a floor with 2" foam board sandwhiched between luon sealed and fiberglassed resined one side. 4x4 sections (6 total) with holes cut in em. All in all if we get ice ill be stylin with a heated 109 sq ft fully floored ice shack that might be ripped apart at the seams with high gusts. I guess time will tell. Good Luck with yours this year.

I got the 949i and love it. The insulation is a big plus. Very warm and frost free. I had no problem setting it up by myself. So far I am really impressed with it. Stiching looks good on mine, no flaws that I can see.

Ordered my 949I yesterday. My thought is that it's big enough to throw a couple of cots in there if need be for some camper free night fishing...hopefully it'll be here by Christmas.

just got mine this weekend.  quality looks top notch, and sets up easy with 1 man.  No stiching problems here, we'll see after a season how it looks.
