Fished this evening from 4-6. It was dead until 5:30 then the bite heated up. Between 5:30-6 I landed 3 keepers. I also got broke off 3 times in a row on 2 different polls. 🤦🏻‍♂️ I think releases cousin was out there after that happened lol. Was a great night to be out for sure and travel was a breeze.

Made my first trip up to Mother O this weekend with a buddy; fished Sat and Sun.  Sat morning was a chilly one.  Very convenient time for the buddy heater screen to get clogged up and stop working. This was after we learned the auger blades were re-installed upside down after the fresh sharpening.  :o Mild winter has us out of practice! Many thanks to the nice gentleman who lent us his K drill so we could set up!  Marked high flyers all am, but they were not willing to cooperate.  Needless to say without the heater it was a short morning before we headed off to fix the gear and grab a hot lunch.  Back at it off Chapman in the PM and again marked a lot of fish but they were very sluggish and wouldn't commit.  ??? Did meet PerchEyes out there, great fellow!

Sunday am, regrouped and back at Lewis and we found some hungry walters.  Fast and furious at sunrise 2 keepers and lost one other at the hole, also caught numerous other healthy 14" specimens.  All went back to grow bigger.  Grabbed some lunch and made the trek back home.  Travel with the wheeler was great, ice is in very good shape.  Hopefully we will make it up at least one more time this season.  Oneida is always an adventure. ;)

fished out from chapman yesterday and got my first ever limit of walleye on Oneida Lake. (last year was my first year ever fishing it) Also brought home 5 jumbo perch, it was a bit frustrating throughout the day that there were tons of fish underneath me but very few that wanted to bite. i threw everything i had at them.. Mid day hooked into what I thought was a walleye of a lifetime, had the rod bent right over, ripping out drag, took a good 5 min to land it..... big fat smallmouth bass  >:(

Nice job on the fish everyone! Good to hear your ice finally firmed up....  Been having good success on the home waters so haven't made the trek up since open water.

Good day on Saturday southside ... cold to start, but once that sun started beating on the shanty, I was down to my shirt.  Handful of jumbo perch, couple of keeper walleyes, and a burbot on a dead stick shiner.   Had to work for everything and after 1-ish, I couldn't get any marks to bite.  They'd chase an chase, but wouldn't commit for the free ride up.

Surprised at how few people were out there.  Ice was good, not a bad walk.

Fish this afternoon from 4:30-6. End up landing one keeper and one short. Marked quite a few but they were finicky where I was.

Oneida was good to me today. 2 eyes and 43 perch (most of the all large females) at least they look like. All fish was released Park police officer at the parking lot  was checking license and fish.  Fun day .

Most people bring an arm full of wood in the type of guy that brings an arm full and a 5 gallon gas can
