Someone please correct me if I'm wrong here, but the digital scales read in tenths of a pound right?

So (for example) the winning trout- 6.11,- would be 6.11lbs, rather than 6lbs 11oz. Or am I all wet? ???

I have 3 different digital scales, and only 1 reads in (Lbs)-(oz). The other 2 are in tenths of a pound, (Lbs)-(.1/10).

Thanks, :)

I cant speak for all scales but the rapala scale in the b and k used for the derby reads in pounds and ounces. I think most digital, in general read in tenths but the rapala scales actually have a small "Oz" in the bottom right corner of the display. The quickest way to check is see if you can get a larger number than 15 right of your decimal, then it's in tenths of pounds.

Thanks for the reply Lipripper! ;D

Now that I think about it, my Rapala is how you described, and the other 2 are berkley.

On another note, no 10lber walleye this year? Whats up with that? ;)

We tied for the smallest trout out there, and this year they were giving 50 dollar gift cards to sportsmans away.  I believe we weighed in first but did not get the card, oh well.

I wish they had said something about the smallest fish in each catagory BEFORE the thing started. I'm fairly sure I could have entered smallest ling and walleye, but had no clue because it wasn't on the flyer.
