I'm like Icebigboy in Northern Quebec, Can. Walleye and pike season close april 24 th and trout season start after. Depending the weather, we have often one week of fishing in may. You're welcome everybody.... :)
It's important to be patient in life. ice fishing is the better place to find it and learning the real thing...;)

Come on Thriller, your starting to sound like an Canadian easterner. They are always forgetting about us westerners. Northern BC has some great icefishing opportunities. I'm usually off local big lakes by mid April and can go up in the mountains and on ice till mid May.

You callin' me an easterner?  Them's fightin' words  ;)

I have no experience with PG / Fort St. John part of the world other than what's been occasionally posted here.  The time I spent in Terrace was always about salmon or saltwater for halibut.  Maybe I'll have to take a holiday up your way and experience that   ;D

I say we still got awhile up here in VT the ice is pretty dang thick, and it's cold, so I say the ice will probably carry into april. ???
