Finally had a great day on Oneida, limit of eyes and some perch mixed in. Fishing 32 fow on the north shore. Someone on here PM me a tip that I decided to try after my usual go to didn't produce and that made the difference today ....

Brought the Smitty last weekend. Will I need it again this weekend? Thanks and tight lines all.
When I’m walking I always bring mine,
I was out yesterday and it was windy , And the snow really didn’t move much , but the warmer temps will help it settle ,  then some cooler temps might tighten it up and make for easier walking at least for us old codgers  😉

19 inch walleye, 7 1/2 inch shad down its throat! Just saw the tips of its tail, pulled it out with forceps. Hungry sucker.

Fished from 7:30 to 3 off Lewis point. Between 2 of us we caught 50 walleye with 5 keepers. Fishing 30ft of water just off bottom. Lost my buddy heater on the way out but other than that it was a great day to be out.

Hey ya'll. I don't get a chance to fish the big O very often (2+hr drive for me) so when I do its a treat. ive made 2 trips this year 1)Williams 2)taft...besides a few perch...nothing.. been throwing jigging raps, slender spoons and lipless crankbaits at them....all for not...I get a chance to go back out again tomorrow.. and im torn between godfrey and literally anywhere else on the north shore... I don't have a machine so I cant quite get to shackelton sholes or any of the other common places....what do you guys think? also, the few times ive been there I got there a few hours before sunrise, is dark a productive time in this lake?

Is apps landing public parking? or are you better off parking at the dec launch on Godfrey point? any info would be much appreciated.

Rick at Apps told us that you can also park at Villas Market next door with no issues

#5 perch rap is good most of the time. I know guys that prefer fatheads over buckeyes even on Oneida.

Some days are tough and some days you need to move.

Looks like a zoo off of Cleveland today. That probably doesn't help when the circus is in town...

If you can get to the edge of a drop off I've found it productive.  Try the top and bottom edge.
If life were easy everybody would have one.

Try down sizing. When I can't  get them to hit I go small, sometimes it works.

fished off of Godfrey this morning 3am-noonish..FINALLY found some waldos..95% were 10in lol..but I did lock into one FAT 19incher (female). She hit a small heavy shiner colored jiggin rap tipped with a fathead head.. the rest of the short came by way of variety of spoons.. 30 ft of water....Something really wierd happened..drilled a couple holes at the dropoff...14in of ice..went about 20 ft farther 2+ FOOT OF ICE...then 20 ft further right back to 14in of ice...I was stumped why there was one section with soooo much more ice then everywhere else.
