Just wondering how the ice is in front of Chapman park. My favorite place to fish but I have to have my atv to get out to 30-40 fow. Are people going out with snow machines and atv's? Thanks in advance.

Fished Williams Beach this afternoon. Worked from the collection of shanties about 150 yards from shore all the way to the north side of Dunhams. There was 2-4 inches of powdery packed snow so it is like walking in sand with some slick areas underneath. Don't need cleats yet. Slush is forming a bit due to warming temps. Ice ranged from over 8 inches to 6 inches near the island. Some drifted snow but the Snowmobiles and ATV's seemed to have no problem traversing. No pressure cracks at the beach or out to the island itself.
The perch were on but was like a day at Sandy Pond- 10:1 dinks to keepers. Eyes drifted in after 4pm. Good Luck and be safe.

Fished from 3:30-5 yesterday. After a mile long walk out I got set up. Managed to go 15 for 20 on eyes. Action was fast and furious. Fished today from 3:30-5 and went 2 for 5 on eyes. Took the sled out this time. Ice was 12 inches where I was.

I would say a valid PA registration, insurance, helmet.

Solid tow bar is the law though I have never been ticketed for using a rope...

Rigid towbar is only required if towing people.

Here are the majority of the rules  Your out of state registration is good in NY.

Thanks guys! Steve good to see you on IS. Some of the eyes didn’t require bait while others wouldn’t touch it without bait
