Title: Crappies right under the ice
Post by: fish8mybait on Dec 17, 2015, 07:36 PM
I primarily target crappies at night. I typically find crappies suspended and sometimes on the bottom but have on occasion caught larger crappies right below the ice.

Has anyone else experienced the same thing? Any methods you use for targeting crappies right under the ice?

My biggest challenge is I can't pick them up on the Vexilar.....

We have them cruising directly under the ice all the time. They do this a lot towards last ice.

Dead stick a minnow under a bobber a couple feet under the ice.
