I saw my first ice this morning here outside my house. The water in my wheel barrow was skimmed over with ice and a coating of ice on my patio table on the deck. I would call this morning our first hard frost so far this fall. We had on and off snow here the last 2 days but nothing much sticking.

Up here in the Alaska Arctic my work truck was saying it was 28 degrees yesterday morning. 29 degrees out right now.
We've got snow on the ground and the lakes and ponds are froze over up here.
Unfortunately it hasn't been that cold at my house and we won't have safe Ice for  a while yet.

Well your place is on the tropical Kenai Peninsula Chris and your work is about as far North as you can go.
Kinda to be expected. ;)

Tropical? LOL
I guess with the heatwave and drought we had this summer it almost seemed that way!
But my work isn't as far north as you can go it's just as far north as you can drive!

I bet we'll get a big warm up mid November before the lakes truly freeze over, but getting there.

29F at my house in NH this morning. It's coming here too so I don't have to be so jealous!
