Picks usually and I keep a life vest in the car and throw it in the sled if I feel it's necessary.

Ice picks and AA suit. I keep a rope and throw cushion on the sled early and late ice.

Just picked up a Striker Ice suit that floats myself.  Have that, ice picks in the chest pockets. Always have a bundle of rope in the sled with me in case i see others in need of help

just got in 2 striker ice suits one for me and one for the wife, before that rope in the sled and drill hole along the way to check ice,  im never the first one out on the lake anyways and the cellphone.. mine wont work if i dip it in the lake

  I let a responsible person know, where I'm going, where I park, time going and when I will return. And if there are any changes to the plan, I let the responsible person know of the changes.
  This year I'm also going to have a 50' length of rope attached to the sled and have it drag behind so availible to a friend/rescuer.

picks and a life vest, saved my life back in early december fishing a private pond, i knew the ice would be questionable but i figured id be alright unfortunately i managed to have the awesome luck of finding the one weak spot on the ice , so i took the picks, but i wasnt really planning on bringing the life vest, on 2nd thought i decided to put it on and i thank the lord i made that decision, i can 100 percent say without the life vest and ice picks, i would not be here today, it was hard enough getting out even with them. from now on ill always have my picks and vest with me on early and late ice. no fish is worth dying for.
