How is the travel with wheelers out of constantia, bringing my 8 year old and just want to make sure it will be safe.

Travel is fine out of Constantia. There is a few inches of sloppy snow on the ice. Some slush near shore but nothing really bad.

Launched out of Constantia yesterday, buddy had a quad I was on a sled, easy travel for both, 2 miles out then 2 miles back to get a new set of plugs, buddy had fouled them the day before. I killed an hour as my buddy found nothing so picked an ran easterly 4 miles, tried areas all over putting 15 miles on the machines. Stayed in 20 to 32 fow all morning, never went east of 125, plenty of dinks in a few spots, 6 hours in about 18 perch 2 guys, perch got us on this day just couldn't find em so figured we'd salvage the day with a few panfish, good call 100 sunnys 61 lbs. Traveled back to the launch about 5 pm, was getting sloppy underneath for the quad, sled no problem. Great day even though we ran to the panfish lands with our tails between our legs. I see its raining now and warm out. Will post an image later

Ok so I have decided to put a gps and a navonics chip in my arsenal for next year. I am posting this here as im interested in what the people on oneida are using for gps. I dont want to use my not so smart phone so thanks for the suggestion s to that but not what I want. I will be using it on  oneida ,fingerlakes and for hunting. Best screen in sun , touch in cold .accuracy easy use... just the useful stuff .
Where is the ice !!!!

I fished out of Wiliams this morning. It was pretty desolate. I fished 6:45-10:00. I managed quite a few perch but nothing really worth keeping. The camera was full of them all morning. I was in 17 FOW. Blue/white dot or Genz worm with spikes seemed to be what they liked.

Highlight of morning was dropping a Rapala jigging Shad Rap down there and watching a pickerel hammer the lure just as it came onto the screen. I didn't see it coming and the speed of the strike was amazing to watch. I rarely use the camera in favor of the Vex but I dropped it down to try to pull bait away from dinks. The camera is a great tool for those new to the sport who want to see how much movement you get out of jigging. (varies quite a bit by spine of pole and lure)

Ice was still 20+ inches where I drilled and snowmobiles and wheelers were out there without a problem.

We've had a good ice (walleye) season. It's great when late muzzleloader season bumps up against ice fishing and ice fishing bumps up against snow goose and (hopefully) trout season.

One final thing, if the guy who defecated in his minnow bucket and left it out there is on this site, have some common courtesy and at least haul it in next time. I know nature calls when we are out there, but use your head...that bucket could end up somebody's shoreline and gives us all a bad name.

Ended the day with a couple good sized burbot. Wind started to pick up and the temps dropped quick. Called it a day just before the night bite...better safe than sorry.

The wind is brutal! Here on shore its gotta be 20-25, gusting to 40+. Its nasty.
Came out here though to hit the shallows in the morning.

Nice project but all those nuts and washers would make me nervous. Enough goes wrong out there without worrying about nuts backing off

The nuts all have lock washers on them.
9.00 for the bearing and 2.00 for the u clamp. The rest is old and reused stuff I had laying around.
