Took a try at my first underwater shot last time out, heres what those lookers look like.

  http://s647.photobucket.com/user/snagger69/media/underwater_zps4b15f7f2.mp4.html

I've been wanting to get one of them cameras for some time now, always wondering what down there. That footage pretty much wraps it up for me, walleye refusing to bite! I think I've seen that walleye on my flasher many times! ;D

Very cool! Thanks for sharing.

seen a school of like 10 eyes coming, jolted the camera which is tiny, they were gone, that cost me, then the camera was missing one time, saw a white open jaw then a big eyeball looking at it, he swallowed the camera then exhaled it, strange stuff, dink perch are those bottom huggers, bigger perch always come in a touch off bottom so far.

We always talk about moods and barometers, well last week one day we had a tough barometer, but it only seemed too affect the dink perch on bottom, if a larger perch came in higher up... he hit, if a bass came in he hit, same with keeper eyes, pins near bottom wouldn't hit, so it led me too believe I've been fishing correctly all this time, ignoring fish I don't want and staying high enough up too only get the ones I want.  Proved my theory correct, I was happy, after an hour, put the camera away.

Well looks like ill be fishing the beach this weekend,my partner japed so no wheeler and from the sounds of it conditions aren't going to be good out there for ATVs or sleds. I just hope this trip will not be as bad as my Lewis trip. I allready have the room so i mite as well make the best of it. It will be a true father and son weekend, hopefully I can get on some fish with my buddy.

I'm not calling it quits on this ice season but....I'm certainly looking forward to sitting on a river bank with a fire and a 12 pack, watching my rod tip for those bullhead and catfish.

I drove the north shore to Cleveland today. I only saw one set of sled tracks and those were out of Bernhards Bay. As reeleyez mentioned in his post about Godfrey, be careful with those stream outlet. The one in Bernhards Bay (Winn Point) is chewing up the ice at a good clip. I am sure it is the same everywhere else.

Ok here's a conditions report, my friends went out of apps today, the east west crack along shore is pretty messy straight out where they crossed it. We have to find a different crossing that's higher and drier. Once across it the conditions for quad travel were ok, as little as next to no snow in spots to drifts as deep as 10 to 12 inches. They said key is traveling light and not dragging heavy shantys if possible. Bottoms are getting mired up with slush then freezing causing excess drag. I'd imagine sleds would do even better in these conditions but quads will get you there, especially if you roll with your shack on the rack and your chained up. These guys had no chains by the way and got along ok.

Just preface that report with north shore.  When I left south shore this morning it was nuts. Drifts 3' tall and that was at 7:30.  NNW wind at 25 those drifts now must be huge.
Shoveled yest. Still hard getting truck out this morning.

Yes that was a north shore report. They also didn't venture out real far maybe mile or so. Bcons were those drifts ON the lake?

Drove down muskrat bay tonite and noticed two shanties out in front of oneida shores right before dark. That's devotion.  The wind was whipping.  I'd be interested to know if those guys got anything. It's so cold

They were on the ice where I ride on.  Didn't go much further than that.

Looking to get out Saturday & Sunday for some end-of season fishing. With the current snow conditions, I don't expect to be walking far (snow too deep for my 2WD ATV, for sure, even with chains). Probably going to hit the southern shore and keep it close to home. Thanks to all for the reports.  Even if I catch dinks, it'll still be fun for me. I'm new to the boards here but I want to say thanks to all for posting. You guys are great. This is my first year fishing seriously on the ice (albeit late) and your input has been valuable.  I have a lot to learn and this is where I'll be looking to help me along the way. Thanks. Tight lines, everyone.
