Could we please talk about ice-suits, tow-bars, and sharpening knifes... All this stupid b-ball talk made me fall asleep at work...  :nono:

Agreed!

I have a 3 stage Chefs choice electric knife sharpener, my Mom bought it for me from Cabelas about 5-6 years ago......LOVE IT!!! Razor sharp blades in a snap! ........Just sayin'.....

Was just at Foxs discount parts chatting with a customer about lake slush . He said on T C Riders forum a report of a sled buried near Dunhams last night in slush field and when he went back with help to get it out was stripped and chassis was left . **censored** ! This is hearsay of course but if true that is just pathetic at best .

We drew the line at the tow bar topic! I took a shot with the knife sharpening comment. :-\

So do you guys fish as much during open water season as you do during hardwater season?  I don't have a boat and shore access to most lakes is just meh so I get pissed off when I miss a weekend of ice fishing.

22mph isn't anything. Hell the gusts tomorrow are supposed to around 50mph, that's trouble but we are gonna make the trip anyhow and hope for the best. Lord knows the forecast has been messed up before and honestly tired of sitting here wanting to go but something comes up. Suppose to let up in afternoon so I hope. Tight lines

I typically only ice fish. I might get out one or two times the rest of the year. I freeze enough perch to last through summer. I play with deer the rest of the year.

Wind will not be your problem brother......It won't be nearly as strong as further to the west.  Now wetness on the other hand, you may want to bring your best GoreTex and swampers. It WILL be a wet one!

Wusthof three stone pyramid sharpener. is clearly the best way to sharpen things. Takes a little practice being that it is a old school style sharpener. Finish off with running blade over some Steele .youtube wusthof and check it out. Like I said a Little practice and you can shave with your face with a fillet knife

This weekend certainly looks rough, but better than I expected.  Also got a few packages this week. Several experimental perch jigs, & replenished some goto's I was out of.  All from small businesses out west.  Like to support local, but haven't found anything like these here.
Also added power for auger, can't keep drilling by hand.
Never thought I would, but.....
Good luck
