I agree. They'll have one or two players show up per game. If they get everyone on board they could be great. Half the time they lookasleep and I end up online buying more jigs and things that I don't need  :P

On a side note. What are you guys using for rods and how do you like them? Tip broke off my panfish rod tonight and looking to get a new one.

Started the season with 2 new eagle claw inline combo's from SG it took a while but it's great now.  Ended up with 2 med  rods, 1 light and 1 ul rod. Have not fished with the ul yet but it feels like a panfish  killer.

I've been a CUSE fan since Dave Bing, but this team does not seem for real. You just can not play crap teams and struggle  each time .  Hate saying that but that's what I SEE.
NC State not a pushover.... I think one of their guys is acc leading scorer.  For as young of a team as cuse is they keep pulling off these wins! Gotta love it  :afro:

As much as I hate to say it Cuse needs to lose one now before it matters.
The announcers started the game with "#1 cuse! Not that they've dominated anyone yet...."
The younger the players the more prone to getting a big head.  As said above they never have everyone "showing up".
Look at Ennis after a week of hype & attention how did he play?  They can't rely on only D and 4th quarter to win in March.
NY fans were on the good side of one of the biggest attitude collapses in history.  2007 Superbowl.  Patriots 16-0,& favored by 12.......Not taking away from the Giants they played well, a few plays were amazing!  However the Pats gave up as much as NY played well.  The Giants were just an average team that year even were only there by chance & wildcard spot.
NE was not only undefeated, but they were dominant, they crushed everyone.
Their heads got too big, hence the greatest championship upset in recent history.
It happens at all levels, the younger the athlete the easier it happens.
A loss or 2 now before it matters, before its one & done, will teach "heart & attitude".
A serving of humble pie can often teach what no man can.
What does Oneida teach us?

I think you might get your wish for a loss next Saturday. I agree, they need a couple losses to get their heads straight.

Defense does win games! Next Saturday won't b an easy task, but Dukes game with NC is rescheduled for 2 days before cuse plays them which should help us. Time to go fishing. Over and out

They have always played to the ability of there apponents except this year they come out on top.  When you win a big game like the Pitt game in the zoo where no team ranked under 5 has won it takes a lot out of you. Maybe they didn't have there legs last night.  Good teams find a way to win great teams win them all!

Well played old boy! Sometimes you just have to know when to throw in the towel.
The fish will still be there next weekend. Hope to see you soon!

well been out the last few days fished with KP yesterday slow going pulling my big shack , but moving , made a 6 mile run yesterday and the perch were still there but not very co-operative picked up a few then chased back to one of KP,s spots and picked a few there ,our fish were tight lipped ,but did Mark a lot of fish , fish size ran from 9.5 - 12" , far as snow it did settle a little , but the wheeler action is in IMO ,you'll tare stuff up , but 2 were seen being dug out which one gentlemen was warned , he made it about a 100 yards out and game over ,bad slush spots where holes had been drilled had 2 spots yesterday that I didn't dare drop a fish or it would swim away LOL , but I'm keeping in shape due to shoveling snow ;)now it will get worse before it gets better, starting to like 3 years ago 20 days straight that wheelers couldn't travel and even sleds had trouble due to snow and slush, warm days and cool nights for a better surface, I think is in order, JMO

Well back to fishing, today is my dose of Oneida humble pie.
Sled wouldn't start, after fighting with it for 40 mins I gave up and decided to walk.
Sheesh!  Some of it settled just enough to make it even harder to walk in than fresh powder.
Still almost up to my knees. Kill yourself to get out here then shovel what's now 16-18" after the couple new from last night.
Drill holes then watch it flood with 1.5" of water.  Dropped a buckeye gave up trying to catch it, till it got.stuck in slush.  Was swimming around in shanty for 5 mins.
Perch on 1st drop, then Nada for 45 mins.  Nice 15 min flurry, then mainly lookers.  Once and awhile pickup a few.
Tough day so far.
But if there's ice & the wind is 40 or less I'm fishing.

At least you're on some fish. What's worse is doing all that work and then not marking anything for 45 minutes and knowing you gotta do it all again.

I'm heading up now and just praying I land on some kinda fish in a couple of stops.

bcons try this instead of shoveling all way down just do about half and walk it in and then smooth with shovel drill holes and let the snow soak it up just watch stepping close to your holes for a while and if it is cold next day the same holes are ready to go high and dry , ask snag about the platforms I built all over the lake 3 years ago , sorry to hear about the sled trouble, that sucks

Good luck Pooch & Racer on your Northern Quest. We have a family camp up there, and 30" is a good goal. The best I've ever done after many seasons/hours is 31" / 13 lbs. And don't be afraid to keep some. A few years back they botched they lampricide application and killed thousands of breeder fish that were up the streams. BTW I fish with your kids buddy Connor. Rugburn out.
