What a day we had.  Semi tough going with the wheeler and the trip makes for a long day but well worth it as you can see.  We ended up with 5 nice eyes and dropped one right at the hole.  Kept 1 each just to say we did it and released the rest. Absolutely going back if not on the ice then in the boat.

Oh yeah I meant to post a pic of that rod holder, got it off Amazon....absolutely love it, gonna get another one.

Fish caught today were about 26, 27. 28 inches and weighed anywhere from 5-8 pounds or so. A day I will never forget.

That's the best part Shane, going there blind and figuring out where and what to do, and getting the job done. Very rewarding

Snagger,

We weren't totally blind.  We got a small amount of info from the hardware store and then drew upon all that we've learned from participating in this forum.  We used our lake chip to identify promising structure and set ourselves up.  It was really cool to put the things we've learned into practice.

Thanks to all that have shared info and technique in these pages.

Bridgeport is the place on the lake that really needs an ice fishing bait store.

He gets that 500 set up right and it'll be tough to beat.  There will be times that it won't do the job on the ice, but they will be few.  And he'll have it for all those other times all year long.   ;)

that's the exact  reason I bought a Polaris 500 this year also ;D except mines in camo so you cant see it and know where I am  ;D ;D ;D but with the amount of fish ive caught this year you wouldn't wana be near me :( no chains either put screws in tires works great    no flats either ;D ;D ;D
