Had a great day today set up in the morning and never moved. Caught a ton of shorts 7 keepers and 27 perch. Lost a ton as they didn't bite hard they grabbed it and came up with it had to set the hook hen you saw slack in the line. Sorry for the blood.

Nice job Cody...  Sure is a blood bath....  ;D  And what are you doing so far north?   ;D

Great job Snagger. I think we have both been ice fishing Oneida for about the same number of year, is it me or do the eyes seem extra big this year? I don't ever remember this many large walleyes.   Perch seem the same but these walleyes are pigs.  Is there a reason or is it just a cycle.

Thanks Dom.  I gotta come up here for the good fishing.   Only good thing about ice fishing down there is watching people use a hatchet to get through the ice  :D

Thanks snag. Looks like you had a good day yesturday. Love picking away at the jumbos.

Walked out from chapman, caught a few perch and a couple small walleye. Bite was very very soft. Lost quite a few on the way up!! You really have to pay attention.  Couple of awesome guys pulled our shanty from the end of the pier up the hill and almost to the lot! Love great people that help each other. Parking lot when we were packing up was great as a bunch of people came up to say hi an exchange catch info. Sorry I didn't get any names.

Hey guys, just a few quick questions...Can someone just point me in the right direction? I am looking to come up and fish Oneida in the morning, coming up from Binghamton with my girlfriend.  Looking to just catch some perch, I want to keep her entertained.  I was thinking of coming in at Constantia but not sure where exactly to park or even where to go from there. I will be walking but hopefully it isn't too bad.  Thanks ahead of time for any tips or pointers you might have.  Maybe I will get the pleasure of running into a few of you tomorrow.  Stay safe and tight lines

Matt

Wow guys nice pics.

Finally found some perch on Thursday.  Managed a dozen after we figured out what they wanted.  My buddy stayed a bit longer and ended up with close to 25.

Got a late start today, was on the ice by 11am and off by 2:30pm and managed another 21 from the same holes.  Was a good day in my book, 1/2 mile away from the nearest shanty.  Just finished cleaning them.

Really liking my new elite 4x ;D, going to put the showdown on the shelf for a backup.

Think I'm going to skip the craziness tomorrow and take my son snowmobiling.  Good Luck!!

Well, I stand corrected. Looks like the action heated up again. I also now am a full convert for how pressure readings effect these Oneida fish. I have seen the "light"  or should I say the "barometer"   ;)

Well said... The guys that catch 20, 30, 40 and release,, are a joke... it does more harm than good....( this will get em goin)..
you should be more concerned with the guys that take 20-50 home with them.... Many more of those fish die than out of the percentage of the fish that are released.  What about the hundreds of pin pike that get tossed back as well? It's pretty easy to sit at a computer and call names. I call people like that email thugs.... Not far off from the telephone tough guy.
