Looking to do an over night trip out to Oneida with a few buds. Anyone know where we could crash for the night? Hotels, motels, campgrounds etc.?

Any info is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Ska
Apps bait and tackle , rooms call a head , lots of my buds stay there when they come for a couple days , Rick and Peg owners 1-315-675-8334 and I'm sure others on here might recommend some places that's just my choice and it's safe to mention my name  ;D

I'll ditto that Catch. I want enough ice to hold the 4 wheeler . Is that asking too much? ;D ;D ;D

Boggey I ran into your son Matt last night at the bowling alley. Haven't seen him in forever...

I wanted another day or 2 of duck hunting as well.. I am willing to let them go if we can get good ice. Hope we can keep the snow off any ice that has formed for a few more days. But I don't think that is going to happen!! Then we will be waiting for a warm up and re freeze before we can get out there.

Web cam location isn't locked up but chunks are floating around. Watch it for a little while and you'll notice the bergs moving. Starting though

Drove over the 81 Bridge yesterday, west end appeared to be locked up.  I've been stuck indoors doing paperwork today so I haven't seen the lake.

There was ice all the way from little Island to the 81 bridge on my way to work this morning. Not sure if it has moved since then. Most of the rest of the lake is open. Not sure about the East end.

The lake cam is looking pretty still... hopefully winds won't pick up when the temps drop tonight! :)

we got a good shot of snow coming tomorrow night, that lake locks tonight, its gonna be a nightmare, hopefully the snow sinks it, or it blows off... anyone check sylvan today?, must be a crushed plate glass, slush snow mess down that way after all the west winds.  long range shows rain next weekend, that should melt and re freeze this disaster that's about to unfold.

I did a little digging last yr, the weather info for that cam is from the Syracuse airport. not a true weather station from northshore.

Other than a couple warmer days next weekend, there is not a day above freezing..BUT.. nothing near the magical 0. If there is wind it will be a nightmare, freeze over, break up and stack up. over and over..   Need to have that wind go down and go to 0.....  Be safe and don`t rush it.. There will be plenty of ice later on...  BUY OR MAKE A SPUD NOW !!!!!

I took a drive down the North shore and there are patches of open water off of Cleveland and Jewel. I would guess that more of it will open up with this snow and wind coming which is probably a good thing anyway.

Swimmer was under the weather from a fall get healed up soon , and see ya on the ice , now today HT was very well behaved,  but Wirestone did act up a little, and that was quite a rod and reel for flats you got , hope everyone got home safely , east wind blowing when I came back through at 4:30 that's good for the east end of things , but they are calling for a few inches of snow  >:(

I look forward to Breakfast with you guys every year. Next year she will be under the table lol ;)
