New TB Stealth and custom reel...
« on: Dec 28, 2011, 06:59 PM »
Just recieved my new Quiverstick Stealth, wow!
I have a stock 27 incher and a 32in with outside recoils. I wanted a 29 incher as it's the longest I can fish comfortably inside. I was skeptical on the syncork but figured i'd give it a whirl. The stuff is not as prety as nice cork but wow it is light! And i'll find out how sensitive it is soon...
I hade mine made with black main wraps and orange trim and it came out real sharp! I planned on matching it up with a Okuma SLV 4/5. But then I got to thinking  how nice a black reel with orange backing would look on it...
I  have a bunch of SLV's... so I picked up some quality auto spray paint and gave it a whirl. I took apart the reel and taped off the areas I didnt want paint getting into. Then applied a bunch of lite coats. Not sure how durrable it will be but it looks great now...
