Open water fishing on keyhole

With the ice season winding down I find myself day dreaming of being out on the boat. I was wondering if the fishing on keyhole is as good during the open water months as it is during the hard water months? Can I anchor my boat on the normal hotspots for ice fishing, jig and expect the same results?

Yes and no.  The fish move around a lot. Here today gone tomorrow.  I would say the fishing is better open water than winter but I would always rather be in a boat than a hole in the ice. Shoot me a message.
