Unhealthy but delicious
« on: Nov 26, 2012, 10:49 PM »
Ever have a bacon and hotdog sandwich?

Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any eating binges or cardiac issues. ;D

Chop up a pound of bacon and fry until almost done, then add a pack of sliced up natural casing hot dogs.
Reel in your perch.
Cook until the dog slices are browned on the edges.
Check for flags.
Throw a bunch of this bad-boy mixture on some bread or toast loaded with mayo.
Get back to jigging and enjoy!

If you're extra fancy you can add a slice of tomato to the sandwich or fry some onions in the pan with the meats.
The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable,
a perpetual series of occasions for hope.

We usually wrap the hot dog in bacon, secure it with a couple of toothpicks, and throw it in the deep fryer for a couple of minutes, throw it on a bun and relish in the glory of another job well done!

Hotdogs are lips and ***holes. Can I substitute pastrami instead?

I've done this with a bunch of different meats, pastrami and salami are two good ones. Much better with the tomato too!

Actually, I do eat real quality hot dogs once in a while. I just hate the feel of overly processed meat.

Isn't pastrami basically the equivalent of bacon cut from the cow instead? That's why it's so good.

You need a yogurt smoothy and bowl of oatmeal.

I make my own pastrami by buying a corned beef roast then rinse it off and take the little seasoning packet and grind it up with about a 1/4Cup of black pepper. Cover whole roast and smoke it until it hits 170 degrees.

Yum, all this sounds like it would go good with a side of noodles and cheese with bacon and carmalized onions.

I start off by cooking bacon in a large frying pan when bacon is done remove add a stick of butter fry eggs for bacon eggs and cheese sandwiches place frying pan on ice until lunch At lunch add 2more sticks of butter and reheat add hot dogs and fry until ready It will be the best dogs on the ice
