Greenbriar or Blairs Valley
« on: Feb 13, 2016, 07:31 AM »
Can anyone provide any information on ice conditions at either Greenbriar or Blairs Valley?  I was thinking of heading out to one them  tomorrow if conditions permit. Thanks.

Little pool and Blairs look doable but I'm no expert. Been building my ice equipment over last couple yrs. Still need to purchase an auger. Never officially been out but saw guy from WV last yr doing pretty well at Blairs last yr. Anybody trying to get out next weekend or this week. I live pretty close to blairs, little pool and greenbriar.

Greenbriar ice 3 white over 3 clear. Seems very good.

Bite was slow.  Lots of little bluegills.  Bigger gills in afternoon.

Report for Greenbrier as of Thurs evening is 4 inches of ice and safe. Three fisherman out on the ice. Dont know how they did thurs evening but got a report from one that they caught 1 trout  on Monday. Small gills in morning and bigger gills toward evening.  Anybody getting out this weekened just got my auger in the mail. I may hit greenbrier, blairs, lake habeeb or Deep Creek.  Natefisherman, you going out anywhere? Got a new auger and we can see if we can break mine.   :)
