that is what the GPS is for.........speedo only goes to 100.....GPS reads more. I can travel 60mph without dumping anything. Auger rides smooth and does not get wet when I hit the slush!

Its an '04 second edition Polaris 600 Twin,  I added a MadDog auger rack to the front, and the three bucket rack to the rear.  The rear box is an old rubbermaid tote that I painted black and addes latches to for securing it.  I can get the Aqua Vu, FL-20 and tackle boxes in there. The front box was a craftsman tool kit, which I used a rotary tool and cut the molding away for storage.  Bungees, tools, first aid kid, extra light that plugs into the quad and auger repair kit with extra blades...etc.  I pull the Jet Sled XL with a cooler and grill for lunches on all day trips (last pic on Saginaw Bay) and Ready Rig rod cases, my spud slides in behind the rear box and the rail on the rack.  The bucket rack is good for beverages, bait and fish, and when not out with a crew/group, will leave the sled at the house and just run that out there.  I can slide two rod cases between the box and the rails on the rear sides. Kind of looks like rifle scabboards on the sides.

Duck Doctor,  At 2900 or so miles that Pantera isn't even broken in good yet.  I have a 1994 ZR580 that I use on the ice and that thing is still going strong.  It works really well as an ice fishing ride.  I wish I had all of the ammeneties of a Pantera like reverse and a two up seat but I can't see me parting with my ZR anytime soon.

If you look at the odometer, it reads somewhere right around 600 on the trip....add another 600 to that for the season last year!  I had 95 EXT 580EFI that I pulled my big house with. (8x8) It was studded and man would it pull! The house would get in the slush and all I had to do was gun and that sled would lift the skis! Only ever got stuck with it when the snow was really deep and slushy!

This Pantera I would love to stud but at around $2.50 a stud and a minimum of 96 studs........ I can't afford to put the 144 studs I want to in it!

I have  the same auger and love it. But there was a day on Goatboy weekend one year that our friend Mugz stepped into one of my 10 inch holes. Right up to the crotch he went.. :roflmao: But he was ok and stayed out with us the rest of the day. A real trooper!!

A little extreme, but during the slow days I can set out tip ups/tip downs, sit back in the cab and throw in a movie. It has the Pro Comp Mud Terrains on it 315/75/r16, 3" lift.

The fishing is always great, the catching however, always isn't

Cool looking rack .  You might find it to big .  I would try putting the auger on top . I think your auger motor will get covered with slush and water coming off of the tire . It might make for a tough day if that doesn't start after getting out there.

Here's my buggy, just finished up the box for the back. With the tracks it will go just about anywhere, as long as the ice is plenty thick.
