Ice after this weekend

Whats everyones thoughts on how ice will be this week after the 40-50 degree weather this past weekend?

If we get the snow that's in the forecast, there will be slush on top the ice in many places, making travel more difficult.
It's more important to be nice, than it is nice to be important.

I agree with Michigan man. If we get this snow itll make traveling tough,  but ice? It takes more than a couple days of warmth to ruin the actual ice.

The slush on the lakes is more a factor of the weight of the snow pushing the ice down than it is from warm weather. A couple of warm days actually helps the ice because it melts some of the snow, allowing the cold to reach the ice. The fluffy snow insulates the ice from the cold instead.

Spot on.  The collective weight of the snow pushes water up from every crack,  crevice, and hole in the ice.  The warm should help knock out some of that snow, allowing the water on top refreeze in pretty quick order.
