That's how I can get my wife to eat venison.  Wrap a piece of backstrap in bacon strips and grill it and she's like hey this is pretty good

Bruce Haven't yet hated to freeze it but lots of running around next couple days , then it's heading for a meal , the meat was awesome , great texture and hardly any fishy smell , next time I see ya I have a few questions , you maybe interested in what I have seen

Nice Fred .... Beautiful fish. I want to try for them next year in the Adirondacks,..... is it more productive to cover water and jig for them or spread out some traps and wait them out ?

Too be honest Steve I don't know much about their habits it's a learning curve , I've caught lakers , but not LL, 2 were landed in 2 trips and 1 lost , we jigged  them up on the same stuff we use for lakers , I will be spending more time on them next season ,
 Check with Bigred or Jager they are very experienced with those fish as you know I chase eyes and perch most of my time ,

What a kick in the pants mother nature is giving us. It warms up enough to wreck the ice and then after the record heat it gets cold again. Just 1 week too late.

Mother Nature has not been ice fishermen friendly this season , maybe she'll be a little kinder next ice season , bet Oneida is rolling this morning
