I just got a older vexilar fl-8se from my dad and I think it's from 2003. Does anyone have any this old and if so how well do they work for that age. Thanks

I've got an old fl-8SE and love it. It works well for me. I got mine with the blue genze pack, it keeps everything together and pretty handy when your moving around.

That's what mine came with. Can't wait to get out and use it.

I have one of the really old fl-8's that has the audible alarm. I got it at a cabelas bargain cave about twenty years ago and it works great. I have sent it in to vexilar for new brushes but it was inexpensive and quick. You won't be able to ice fish without it now.

Those older FL-8's last a lifetime!!! You should be happy with it!

The best bang for your buck imo

My fl-8 is 8 - 9 years older than that and still works like new with the original battery. No need to upgrade with that track record!
