WINCHESTER LAKE, Winchester (246 acres)

NORTHERN PIKE LAKE
• Species: (LMB CP YP S NP CB BB)
• Other: 8 mph speed limit.

All CT lakes are listed in the CT anglers guide.  Google "CT Anglers Guide".   If it doesn't say its closed, then its open.  Most lakes stocked with trout close last day of Feb.  I believe most trophy trout lakes stay open till the end of march with 1 trout over 16" limit.   Ct anglers guide is your friend.

I'm curious as well.  I would like to stay in CT for 1 more trip and this place is usually one of the last to hold ice.  Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Fished Winchester this past Saturday. We were straight off the boat launch across from the first inlet and we had 11 inches of ice.
