I would like to know where and how much you guys see these cases at, gander mountain has a really nice clam case for 20$ and another for 30$ I thought it was pretty reasonable!
if it is to be its up to me!

daboobers: Just picked up this same exact case and man is it slick.  Found it at Wally World and are too short for firearms and too narrow for bows.  Just what the doctor ordered for ice rods. Now I can store in this through the summer months rather than in the buckets getting dirty, webby and all that jazz.

My invention.

Holds 16 rod combos tightly, 14 combos better fitting. Will be my storage case when there is no ice.

I really like my clam hard sided one. I only use it for my rods, extra batteries and fillet knife. I don't put my tackle in their because I like easy access to that, but it really shines with the harder sides when transporting. It is kind of hard to monkey around with it in the portable, one of the main reasons I take my go to rods out right away and don't store my tackle in their.
