headed out there this week. not after lakers though. will let you know if there are any incidentals. havent seen a laker caught around here in weeks and have been fishing deep water.

I've fished it. Good ice around 10". Been real slow fishing the 2 times I have been there.

10-12 inches good ice. big crack just south. i did not cross it but guy on skis did.

Thinking about hitting this area Sunday.. Stay home??   On a side note anyone fishing Button bay better pay attention, Someone keeps cutting huge 3'x5' holes that are not marked. Kinda dumb if you ask me

That "someone" may have been on IS recently asking about the legalities of using a net while ice fishing.  I saw a video of it on Youtube recently.  May be the same people.

They are netting lakers... sight fishing them with like 80lb test braid in shallow water with the drag as tight as it will go. from hookset to net on the fish is like 2 seconds. Seems pointless, but to each their own.

Agreed.  I've caught a ton of lakers and half the fun is trying to get the fish to the hole.
