Really depends on the type of spring bobber and in some cases the rod too.
I have some attached with shrink wrap, glue or a tiny O ring but my best are the Legends built in.

I usually buy some of the electrical shrink tube at Fleet Farm.

put the spring bobber on where you want it, then heat the shrink wrap for a more permanent attachment.

Hope this helps,

I've bought the bobber that is just a couple of strands of metal, it came with a piece of shrink wrap.  But it was to windy to use a lighter on the ice and I had some black electrical tape in my box and it seemed to do the trick, had to do it a couple of times now-quick and easy.

I use schooleys spring bobbers on all my rods,I put mine on with thread that matches the rod and then either use clear nail polish or epoxy to keep the tread from comming off

I used to have a hell of a time with this.  I would try to fish the line, especially the 2lb test through the spring and it was really tough.  But if you find a decent length of line that is kind of straight and fish it through the spongy part and just into the start of the spring.

Then as you slowly push your line forward--bend the sping to match where the line is going.  Slow and steady you can get the line through pretty quickly.  But if you try to keep the spring straight and get the line through, you will be there all day. ;D

A dry line will never catch a fish.

I have used string and nail polish and it last a long time. Now they make a elec. tape that is rubber and streches it works great.
Take a kid fishing, they make great pack mules.
Put the big ones back for another day eat the small ones.

My fat fingers always mess it up when using tape.  I'm gonna try the easy-bite one this time.  Hopefully I can do it then.

I use dental floss, tied it on just like you would wrap a guide on the blank.
No glue needed, and easily removed with a sharp razor blade
Get bit!

The best are homemade St. Croix Spring Bobbers.  http://www.iceshanty.com/ice_fishing/index.php?topic=155179.msg1518392#msg1518392

All you need is a #8 one legged rod guide, 1/8" ID rubber Grommet and the St. Croix Spring.

I put it on like you would a guide when rod building.  The main steps are to wrap it with rod wrapping thread( fly tying thread also works, thats what I use) then tie it down with this special rod wrapping knot then coat it with epoxy.  I am not a rod builder and it is easy to do if you tie flies and stays in place and lasts longer and looks better.  Look up how to wrap a rod guide or custom rod building on youtube and you should find some good info.
A day without fishing is a day wasted.
