Title: Question on useing Marcum LX6 on open water

I bought a open water transducer for my boat so I can use my LX6 on it.
I want to use my 12v boat battery to power it. I plan to connect my 12v supply to the 2 pin connector that is used for charging the locator battery. My question is this, can I leave the locator battery hooked as usual. Will the larger battery over power the smaller 12v?

12V is 12V. You won't have any issue leaving it hooked up.
