Posting pictures with an iPhone

 Has anybody on here figured out how to post pictures off of an iPhone? I can do it off of the computer no problem, but I don’t see any tabs on my phone. Thanks in advance! Going loco!

 By the way, when I click add image to post, it lets me select an image and upload it. When it sends me back to Ice Shanty, the image is nowhere to be seen.

prospector - go to whatever forumn you want then click NEW TOPIC right above the list of posts. you will then be direct to the next page where you can compose your posts and below the box where you type is a BLUE link that says "ADD IMAGE TO POST" . This is a new feature and very functional. It utilizes a picture storage host called POST IMAGE.  I would suggest taking about a minute and setting up a post image account, this will make the process easier in the long run. Or since it looks like you are using IMGUR, get the direct link of your picture from IMGUR then come back to your post on IS and click the little box that looks like Mona Lisa and paste in your image link  between the tags..If you have more questions, fire away:)

I see what you mean, when I click on the link you posted it doesnt redirect to an image so i think you may be missing a step somewhere?

It looks ike you got it to work with Post Image but not IMGUR. The IMGUR pic doesnt appear to exist on their site.

Get an ANDROID!!!  jk sorry I couldn't help you out more last night Joe, hope you figure that dang iphone out cause we're going to be hitting the ice sooner than we think. Seen a 2 deg temp reading up by tabiona today  and it was in the lower 30's here this morning

 Weird stuff. I can post links from Imgur no sweat, but cannot figure out how to just get the thumbnail to appear in the post.

you are grabbing the wrong link from imgur when on your phone....im guessing you are going straight to IMGUR on your phone, not through the IMGUR app?
If you are going straight to IMGUR from your phone ( no app) do this...find your image, above your image is a box that says LINK. Change that via the green drop down arrow and select BBC CODE. Copy the BBC code and then take that code over to IS and paste it there and see how it looks.

I was using the app. When I tried to do it without the app and do what you suggested, it wouldn’t even let me select one of their pictures. Are you using an iPhone? Thanks for trying to help! I appreciate it.

Ok from the app, make sure you’re logged in as you then go to your images. Find the one you want, long tap it until you get the menu to pop up from underneath the image. Once it appears click “ copy link” then head back to IS. Pick where you are going to share your image, click reply, then click the MONA LISA button that will give you the [img][|/img] tags and paste the link you copied from the app between the IMG tags the hit preview to see if it worked. If it doesn’t let me know and we will keep digging:)

I might just have to upload pictures from my Computer. It just ticks me off that I can’t do it from my phone when the add image to post icon is right there glaring me in the face.

damn ok, thought we had the snafu figured out. Im trying to replicate exactly what you are doing and am not finding the problem yet. The only thing I can see from what you posted is it looks like the wrong links. The links you are posting that arent working dont have the .jpg extensions...

  Making progress. In my preview I can see images from the screenshot that I copied. Not sure why on the post I only see empty boxes though. I couldn’t do this earlier. I have never seen a picture in my preview until now. I was adding the  Photo by clicking on Mrs. Mona Lisa.

So there is no way to post pictures with an iphone? I hardly ever get on the pc at home(other family members always using it  )  And here at work, the company filter won't let me get on a lot of sites like Photo-bucket etc......
