Winter Outlook

From most of the forecasts/predictions  I've seen it looks like we are in for an average winter, whatever that means.... this fall is reminding me a lot of the fall of 2009. Very wet October that year, average November and and then it was like someone hit a switch and boom, it was winter! What about everyone else! I could really go for 2.5 month ice season versus a 4 week season with sketchy ice....

I'm hoping to time my SD duck trips correctly. Its the middle of October, how can you worry about ice Now? It's the best time of the year.

I've been fishing twice recently,  it's on fire

I went out in the. Out last weekend and hoping to maybe get on again next weekend. Fishing has been good, but still am pretty excited to get on the ice and use some new equipment!

The site is called iceshanty.com right? Haha, I agree, this is the best time of the year, can't wait to sit in my deer stand in a couple weeks but I can only shoot my bow so much......


Also very excited to walk on water since the season was so short last year.
