If i can't make it maybe i could go down to mcbride sometime and meet up with someone. I'd really like to learn that lake a little better

I have to work on the 8th as well but I will probably be heading out on the 9th. We will see... Where is everyone meeting and what are we targeting? I saw the beach parking lot from someone so I am assuming Crappie, Bluegill, maybe a walleye or two. Heard someone say possibly going after the wipers as well I can tell you from experience that is probably not the parking lot to go to to catch the wipers

I would be willing to show some people around as long as we are releasing those big guys as we need to keep them in the lake for others to enjoy

If the weather is bad I will make it a point to stop out there on the 8th, but then of course there will be fewer people there.

So lets make it official. The 8th. The south boat ramp. There are some nice brush piles over there and plenty of rock reefs. Like Mike S. said if we want to target some nice wipers just before dark that is the place. Catch and release only on the larger ones. We will be able to target plenty of crappie, and maybe even a eye or two. I say we shoot for 12 noon. Someone said they would have a little grill, maybe we could all bring a little something. and have a good ol time.

One week to go!

Now they better have my car fixed right this time so I don't miss this event.

Just got it back Thursday after having the radiator replaced, pulled it out of the garage today to find a large puddle of antifreeze in there. The car is killing em right now month ago we repalced the transmission, 2 weeks ago we replaced the external transmission lines ans they were showing some wear and I didn't want to risk the new transmission. Well last week the transmission cooler which is inside the radiator (don't know whos stupid idea this was) decided to fail so the new transmission filled with a mix of coolant and transmission fluid. So a transmission and motor flush later to clean it all out then a new radiator later now I've got coolant leaking and with the car sitting somewhat low I can't see the exact spot of the leak to see if its just a bad hose connection or somewhere else.

Grrr and I wanted to go out today...

Not gonna make it either but i did run into some ice fishing buddies down at Belva Deer this weekend from your area and they all have been hammering the Crappies down there (11-14). Have fun, be safe, only drink the right amount, and post some pics please
